Zine Contribution Opportunity 

Porthi Aber are creating zines about the food system and are looking for creative input. Please be aware, this is - regrettably - a very quick turn around! 

*Deadline for applications 25th February 2026*

We are looking for creatives and artists to respond to our content and design an A3 poster that will be a part of our zine publications. The end product will be an A5 leaflet with an A3 centrefold poster of your work,

Successful applicants informed on the 26th March, and creative submissions due 10th March. Payment upon timely submission.

To apply to design a poster in response to our themes, please submit a response to the questions below, along with two past examples of your work via email to: heather@aberfoodsurplus.co.uk 

1. Why would you like to contribute to a food and environmental activist organisation? 

2. Why would you like your work to be printed on a risograph printer? 

3. How do you feel your artwork and style contributes to our vision and mission(s)? 

Please also feel free to include a link to your website or social media. 

Four artists will be selected to work on their posters on Thursday 26th February, and all artists will be notified of the outcome of their application. 

The deadline for poster production is the 10th March. Artwork needs to be submitted already separated into the correct layers for printing (for more details please read our Riso Print Explaination here). You may submit your work digitally or physically, and we will chat to successful applicants to ensure their concepts are feasible. Payment of £200 will be made to you on receipt of your timely submission.
